How to Exchange and Use the Pass
Please bring your passport and a printed or digital copy of the E-ticket you receive after your reservation has been confirmed.
Bring both items to the High Speed Rail Ticket Window for an official ticket (Rail pass) and select the dates you would like to use the pass when exchanging your E-Ticket.
Rail passes can be used for reserved and non-reserved seats only.
For reserved seats, you will need to make a reservation at the ticketing window at stations.
You may use the rail pass only on the dates you select at the time of exchange.
Term of Use
1. Rail pass exchanges can be made within 3 months from your reservation date.
2. Rail pass starting date must be within 30 days from your exchange date.

Restrictions
- Only visitors to Taiwan are eligible to apply and use this pass.
- An E-ticket from the tour operator will be sent to you as an attachment to your provided e-mail address. Please bring a print or digital copy of your E-ticket to the High Speed Rail Ticket window. You may not present a VELTRA voucher to exchange your ticket. If you cannot present an E-ticket, your reservation will be cancelled and refunds will not be issued. Please understand that you will need to repurchase your ticket on site.
- Infants ages 0-5 may ride for free but will not have a separate seat on board. If you wish to have a separate seat for infants ages 0-5, please book a child (ages 6-11) ticket for them.
- Train passes are issued 3 months prior to your travel date. Therefore, confirmations will issued within 3 months of your travel date.
Additional Notes
- When entering the train turnstiles you will need to show your passport along with your rail pass.
- Changes in dates cannot be made once you have selected your dates at the High Speed Rail Ticketing Window.
- You may not use the business class seats.
- During holidays and weekends, the seats may be full. It is recommended that you exchange your rail pass at the High Speed Rail Ticketing Window at your earliest convenience.
- You may get on and off as you wish.
- If you ride the train on dates past your selected dates, you will need to pay the additional fare and fees on site.
